Based in Minster on Sea, Danley Marshes Riding Centre was built on a simple idea — that everyone deserves the chance to ride. Since opening our gates five years ago, we've welcomed complete beginners, home-educated children, weekend riders, and those with serious competition ambitions alike.

Our instructors bring years of experience across all abilities and genuinely care about every rider's progress. Whether you're sitting on a horse for the very first time or working towards your next competition, we'll meet you exactly where you are and help you grow from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age do you need to be to ride?

All ages are welcome at Danley Marshes Riding Centre. We cater for everyone from young children to adults — if you want to ride, we have a place for you.

Do I need experience?

No experience is needed at all. We welcome complete beginners and will guide you every step of the way. Our instructors are experienced at teaching riders of all levels.

What should I wear?

Wear long trousers, sturdy boots with a small heel, and make sure your shoulders are covered. A riding hat is required — helmets are available to borrow on site if you don't have your own.

Do lessons go ahead in the rain?

Yes — lessons go ahead in all weather. We recommend dressing appropriately for the conditions. Riding in the rain is all part of the experience!

Is there parking available?

Yes, free parking is available on site at Drove Road, Minster on Sea, ME12 3AD.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice to cancel a booking for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel, you will receive a full refund.

How do I book?

Simply use our online booking system — choose your session, pick a date, fill in your details and pay securely online. You'll receive a confirmation email straight away.
